LetsEncrypt & server.csr not being found

Keywords: WordPress + NGINX + SSL - AWS - Technical issue - Secure Connections (SSL/HTTPS)

I just spun up an ec2 bitnami server with WordPress/nginx/MariaDB. I was in the process of installing LetsEncrypt using the recommended “Approach A” for nginx but encountered the following error during the steps provided @ https://docs.bitnami.com/aws/how-to/generate-install-lets-encrypt-ssl/

sudo mv /opt/bitnami/nginx/conf/bitnami/certs/server.csr /opt/bitnami/nginx/conf/bitnami/certs/server.csr.old

^ Does not seem to exist. What do?

Hi @rob83,

Thanks for using Bitnami. I think you can disregard that error and continue running the rest of steps in the guide. the .csr file is only needed when you manually generate the OpenSSL certificate and send it to certificate authority to sign it. In our case, the default installation doesn’t include this file, because the sample SSL certificate included is auto-signed.

The file doesn’t exist but you’re right, it still works. I retried and realized the error was my fault from syntax in the https-server-block file before restarting the services.

Sorry and thanks

Hi @rob83,
