We are compiling PHP with the
--enable-intl flag, so we are using the bundled version of INTL.
Also, PHP is using the ICU version found in the common folder:
$ ldd /opt/bitnami/php/bin/php.bin | grep icu
libicui18n.so.52 => /opt/bitnami/common/lib/libicui18n.so.52 (0x00007f71a5eba000)
libicuuc.so.52 => /opt/bitnami/common/lib/libicuuc.so.52 (0x00007f71a5b32000)
libicudata.so.52 => /opt/bitnami/common/lib/libicudata.so.52 (0x00007f71a42c7000)
libicuio.so.52 => /opt/bitnami/common/lib/libicuio.so.52 (0x00007f71a40b8000)
As you can see, PHP has been compiled using ICU 52 so in case you want to update ICU to a different version, you need to recompile PHP entirely.
On the other hand, we already released PrestaShop 1.7.5 and we didn't face any issue with ICU. Could you point us to the page where you saw this requirement for this version of PrestaShop? In case this is a requirement I will notify the team and we will work on updating ICU in the affected stacks.
