Well, I got you. But, if I will recommend you a bit change. If you want to have Wordpress and Canvas LMS on the same machine you can follow the steps below:
Install Bitnami Canvas LMS Stack (you have already done this): you will have Canvas LMS accessible in the following URL: http://your_domain (it will be installed on port 80 if you execute the installer as sudo).
Install Bitnami WordPress Stack (here): as I pointed above, it is self-contained so it will be installed on other port, for instance 8080, and it will be accessible in the URL: http://your_domain:8080.
Now, we are going to get the desired configuration:
Canvas LMS: http://your_domain
In order to achieve this, it is necessary to do some changes in the Canvas LMS Apache Configuration (this Apache is running on port 80). You have to add these lines in
ProxyPass /wordpress http://127.0.0.1:8080/wordpress/
ProxyPassReverse /wordpress http://127.0.0.1:8080/wordpress/
With that directives, we are telling to Apache which is running on port 80 that if it receives a request with prefix
/wordpress it has to redirect the request to http://127.0.0.1:8080/wordpress, which is the URL where the Wordpress Stack is running.
I hope that you can get your goal with these steps Don't hesitate to write us if you have any other question.
