No worries @jota.
I appreciate all of your help in resolving this matter. Can't say I've experienced support like this for quite some time.
Going forward - I am wrapping up development for a client's website and will soon be mapping the domain and setting up SSL. I want to make sure that everything goes smoothly and SSL is set up properly, with auto-renewal. You mentioned there was an issue with the renewal process.
When it comes time to set up SSL for my client's webiste, what should I do to ensure everything is working properly? Should I use Use the Bitnami Auto-Configuration Script, then create the following, as mentioned?
Create a new file (/opt/bitnami/letsencrypt/scripts/renew-certificate.sh) with the following content
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh stop apache
sudo /opt/bitnami/letsencrypt/lego --path="/opt/bitnami/letsencrypt" --email="YOUR_EMAIL" --domains=YOUR_DOMAIN --domains=www.YOUR_DOMAIN renew
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh start apache
Make the script executable:
chmod +x /opt/bitnami/letsencrypt/scripts/renew-certificate.sh
Verify that the script works properly
Note: Let us know if it updates the certificate properly
Modify the crontab job
sudo crontab -e
and substitute this line
0 0 1 * * /opt/bitnami/letsencrypt/lego --path="/opt/bitnami/letsencrypt" --email="YOUR_EMAIL" --domains=YOUR_DOMAIN --domains=www.YOUR_DOMAIN renew && /opt/bitnami/apache2/bin/httpd -f /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/httpd.conf -k graceful
with this one
0 0 1 * * /opt/bitnami/letsencrypt/scripts/renew-certificate.sh 2> /dev/null
