Issues after running bncert tool

Description:
I have created my site and everything is working correctly until I run the bncert tool. Once the tool is run one of the widgets displays increctly.

Did you configure the domain with HTTPS:

Can you flush the PageSpeed cache and check if that solves the issue?

Can you tell me which widget is not displayed correctly? On which page can it be found? Can you send a screenshot?

Michiel,

It is the upcoming events widget. It should be displayed on the homepage, but I have disabled it whilst trying to fix the fault, I have created a test hoempage at https://westderbymethodistchurch.org.uk/welcome-test.
I have uploaded a screenshot of how it should look.

Hi @stephen4,

It seems the plugin is using your IP address instead of the domain name. Could you set the domain directly in the wp-config.php file?

define('WP_SITEURL', 'https://DOMAIN/');
define('WP_HOME', 'https://DOMAIN/');

Hi @stephen4,

Can you try setting the domain name with the bnconfig tool?

sudo /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig --machine_hostname yourdomain.com

I have just tried it and get the following response: sudo: /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig: command not found

Hi @stephen4,

Can you try the following command:

sudo /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig.disabled --machine_hostname yourdomain.com

Remember to replace yourdomain.com with the actual domain.

Michiel,

I tried removing the plugin and reinstalling it but it will not activate, I get the following message:
Database update has failed. Please make sure, that database user, defined in wp-config.php has permissions, to make changes (ALTER TABLE) to the database.

So I have restored my site from a backup.

This plugin works fine if I use wordpress as an app on Azure but not if I use the bitnami image of wordpress.

Hi @stephen4,

Could you ask in the plugin support forum? It does not seem related to the Bitnami configuration, the database user defined in the wp-config.php file has permissions to make changes in the database.
