Keywords: Magento - Virtual Machines - How to - OtherDescription: Hi, we've had a request to enable PHP 7.2.0 on a staging server, they are using the latest stack with magento 2.4 and PHP 7.4. Is this something I can enable somehow?
We don't support it on a current installation. Apart from that, the current Magento version does not support PHP 7.2. If you need it, I could provide you with an older Magento version that ships PHP 7.2.
I got them to send a screenshot of the error but I don't think they've realised I've already put the server on 2.4...I have noticed however that the stack is showing php 7.3, I downloaded this recently from your site (VM) so I expected it to be 7.4. Is there a way to upgrade this without provisioning a whole new server which is quite time consuming in an already busy environment
Unfortunately it's not possible to update individual components like PHP.
Seems kind of counter intuitive but okay. What's the best way for us to go from 2.2.6 to 2.4? Current PHP version is 7.0
