For an OSX Bitnami uses a standalone VM, so you don't need to access through SSH. You can access the VM terminal by clicking on "Open Terminal" in the "General" tab.

Could you execute this instead?
Then you could check if the folder odoo-...-egg has a different name. You can also use TAB for completion.

If you are installing the module manually you need to run the following command:
sudo chmod 777 addons/
And then upload the module to that folder using SFTP:
