IMPORTANT, please fill the questions
We assume you are using Bitnami to deploy your application.
Which version of the application are you using?:
whatever comes with https://github.com/SaltwaterC/bitnami-wordpress-vagrant
Please choose how you got the application: Installer (Windows, Linux, macOS), cloud image (AWS, GCE, Azure, ...) or VM (VMDK, VBOX):
Have you installed any plugin or modified any configuration file?:
yes, my Vagrant file looks like this:
Vagrant.configure("2") do |config|
config.ssh.username = "vagrant"
config.ssh.password = "vagrant"
config.vm.box = "SaltwaterC/bitnami-wordpress"
config.vm.network "private_network", ip: "192.168.33.10"
config.vm.hostname = "promotive.dev"
config.vm.synced_folder "wp-content", "/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content"
config.vm.provider "virtualbox" do |vb|
vb.memory = "2048"
Describe here your question/suggestion/issue (expected and actual results):
I should be able to add plugins by placing them in the shared folder provided by vagrant (wp-content)
ps. I'm a dev who wants to be able to edit the file on his usual local machine and have the changes available automatically on his local VM
Steps to reproduce the issue (if relevant):
vagrant box add SaltwaterC/bitnami-wordpress
vagrant init SaltwaterC/bitnami-wordpress
//change Vagrantfile to look like above
// Download https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/
// unzip plugin and move to wp-content we created a couple steps ago
// go to promotive.dev
// 500 error
Copy the apache log (if relevant):
nothing interesting in logs :(
