I want to convert my single WordPress website to multisite

Description:
I have a single WordPress website which I need to convert it to multisite network using subdirectories. Basically, I need to implement different versions of my primary versions based on regions e.g, for English speaking people in US , I need to create a subfolder called https://www.my domain.com/en-us , and for English speaking people in Canada,it would be https://www.mydomain.com/en-ca. Now the problem is my main website is 3-4 months old, so if I configure it for multisite, will that break the permalinks and my site becoming inaccessible?

Please note that I don't have separate WordPress instances. Currently, I have only one website which is not a multisite. And I want to create multisite subdirectories and then add pages to each directory. Basically, the design will be the same , I need to change only the content/textual part. So, the websites in the subdirectories will be the exact copies of my current website.

While was doing the network setup for multisite installation using subdirectories, I'm not getting option I select subdirectories as my site is older.
Is there a way to work around the problem? Since I don't need to create subdomains and need to use subdirectories as per client requirements.

Hi @snehal1,

What @michiel mentioned above will work for you. If you follow the instructions, you will end up with a WordPress Multisite instance in which you imported the data of your current WordPress deployment.

However, you can also follow these instructions to convert an already running WordPress site in a Multisite one
