I'm afraid I may not be understanding this correctly. Could you please elaborate on this? Please note that Bitnami stacks are not usually installed inside the system directories (
/usr/bin, etc.), which allows them to be self-contained, including all the files and required services within a single directory. This also allows having multiple stacks installed at the same time.
You can use the Bitnami LAMP Stack installer as non-root user, and it will install and run the stack as your regular user. In this case, the default installation directory is inside your
HOME directory, e.g.
Please beware that the Apache web server will not be able to run on the default ports
443, as these ports are under
1024, which cannot be taken by non-root users. The port
8443 will be used instead.
