I am trying to upgrade Redmine 1.3.2 to 2.6.10 on Windows Server 2016. My third attempt just went sideways, and I may need a couple pointers.
I've been following the upgrade steps here: https://docs.bitnami.com/general/apps/redmine/administration/upgrade/
The only additional step I have done is changing the root password immediately after running the installer because 'bitnami' doesn't seem to work (neither does omitting the password).
I stop the mysql service via Bitnami Manager, then run the following:
mysqld --skip-grant-tables &
mysql -u root
mysql> use mysql;
mysql> update user set password=PASSWORD("bitnami") where User='root';
mysql> flush privileges;
Restart the msql service via the Bitnami Manager
For simplicity in testing, I use root/bitnami in my database.yml.
Up until I run the following commands, the MySql service will start:
ruby bin/rake redmine:plugins RAILS_ENV="production"
ruby bin/rake tmp:cache:clear
ruby bin/rake tmp:sessions:clear
After running them (with Redmine & MySql running), I can log into Redmine, but I get an "internal error" if I try to view any issues. If I stop & restart all services via the Bitnami Manager, Apache comes back, but MySql & Redmine won't start.
mysqld.log shows what looks like a normal startup sequence starting with "Plugin 'FEDERATED' is disabled." and ending with the socket creation. Nothing about the shutdown is logged.
The Redmine log has the following error logged once:
ActiveRecord::SubclassNotFound (The single-table inheritance mechanism failed to locate the subclass: 'ScrumblerIssueCustomField'. This error is raised because the column 'type' is reserved for storing the class in case of inheritance. Please rename this column if you didn't intend it to be used for storing the inheritance class or overwrite CustomField.inheritance_column to use another column for that information.):
Each subsequent time I try to start the service it simply logs "Connecting to database specified by database.yml", nothing else.
Any help would be much appreciated.
