Keywords: Drupal - AWS - Technical issue - Upgrade
I have a Drupal 8 website and I want to update it from 8.6.12 to 8.6.13 for security reasons. I am using Bitnami LAMP stack with AWS.
Firstly I needed drush installed so I ran 'sudo app install drush'. However this gives me drush version 5.10 which isn't compatible with Drupal 8+. (version 9 .~ is recommended). When I run drush pm-update I get the error:
Fatal Error: Class 'Drupal\Core\Session\AccountInterface is not found in .../bootstrap.inc.
I then try to remove the old drush with the command 'sudo apt-get remove drush' and update composer to lastest version, then try to install the latest version of drush via composer 'composer require drush/drush' However the process is 'killed' halfway with no description but 'killed'.
The question I have is how am I to maintain the lastest version of Drupal with Bitnami? The old drush version isn't compatible with Drupal 8. I am not able to install the lastest with composer. Nor am I able to update Drupal via composer. I have had this problem for a few months now and I really don't know what else I can do.
