Keywords: Nginx - AWS - How to - Upgrade
Currently I am using the AWS AMI Image NGINX Open Source Certified by Bitnami 1.18.0-1-r01 on Debian 10
This image is bundled with PHP 7.2.
Previously Bitnami stacks came as self-contained installations and components like PHP could not be upgraded. However, this particular installation native Linux system packages.
test ! -f "/opt/bitnami/common/bin/openssl" && echo "Approach A: Using system packages." || echo "Approach B: Self-contained installation."
In a Approach A installation, is it possible to upgrade to PHP 7.4?
If it is possible, how would you recommend it to be done?
If not, is there a timeline on PHP 7.4 availability? Many packages are starting to depend on PHP 7.4 - features like typed properties and arrow functions.
