First of all, thank you for making such a great Hadoop installer. It has been a joy to use.
I have configured my Bitnami Hadoop installation services to start on boot, using these instructions: https://docs.bitnami.com/installer/faq/linux-faq/#how-to-start-the-stack-automatically-on-boot
Spark Thrift Server is not included in the group of startup services in the Bitnami Hadoop Stack Services Manager.
Currently, I start the Spark Thrift Server AFTER boot at the command line using this syntax:
sudo /opt/bitnami/hadoop/spark/sbin/start-thriftserver.sh --hiveconf hive.server2.thrift.port=10001 hive.server2.transport.mode=binary
I would like to create a script - or modify one of the Hadoop Stack scripts to include this syntax - so that the Spark Thrift Server starts automatically upon boot.
My question is - Is this possible? If so, how?
