I think it will be easier if you upgrade your old instance to the same Redmine version in the new one. You can have more information about how to upgrade your old Redmine instance in the official guide at http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/RedmineUpgrade
You have to do a backup of all your files and MySQL database of your old instance by using the official guide at https://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/RedmineBackupRestore
Once you have this backup, move it to the Bitnami Redmine installation and restore it. I suppose you are running Redmine in the
/opt/bitnami path in AWS Cloud. Please follow the steps below
ruby bin/rake db:migrate RAILS_ENV=production
- If you have installed plugins in the old instance, copy the directories from the
vendor/plugins directory into the `/opt/bitnami/apps/redmine/htdocs, in the plugins directory. Check that the plugins are compatible with the new version and run the following command:
ruby bin/rake redmine:plugins RAILS_ENV="production"
ruby bin/rake tmp:cache:clear
ruby bin/rake tmp:sessions:clear
Finally restart the servers
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh restart
