Keywords: WordPress Multisite - Google Cloud Platform - How to - UpgradeDescription: read the tutorial https://docs.bitnami.com/general/how-to/migrate-wordpress/But it assumes that:You are using the Bitnami WordPress Stack (not the WP Multisite Stack) on both the source and destination WordPress blogs or websites. My installation is a WP Multisite on GCP using Bitnami launchpad, what extra steps should I follow? Thanks, Sam
Hi @mubiesam, Could you elaborate a bit more on you scenario? For example, I would like to know if you want to move a WP Multisite from other cloud to GCP or if it is from a "mono"site to a multisite WP.
Thanks forehandRafael Rios
Thanks for your quick replay.
My scenario will be more like changing the ownership, so it will be both WP Multisite on GCP.
Any comment is highly appreciated.
The reason why the tutorial assumes you're using WordPress (not WP Multisite) is that “All-in-One WP Migration” plugin only allows to export the content of a single site for free. To export the content of WP Multisite you need to upgrade to the paid version of that plugin. It's free for non-multisite instances.
In this case, you should migrate the file repository and the database. This docs should help even it is not a local installation:https://docs.bitnami.com/google/how-to/migrate-php-application/
If you chose to use the paid plugin, I suggest you ask the official developers of the plugin to have more information about this:https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/all-in-one-wp-migration
Luckily I had found "backup & restore" is a good alternative for my scenario, it's done.
Thanks for your help anyway.
Thanks for sharing you solution with the community. We are glad you managed it to work.
