How to investigate very slow bitnami VM with PostgressqlDB

Keywords: PostgreSQL - Microsoft Azure - Technical issue - Other

End December, an existing application with an sqlserverDB moved from an on premises installation to Azure cloud bitnami postgresql DB.
Since then, the database has been slow, users have many complaints.
Where should I start to investigate?
How can I see the bottlenecks ? Can I see this using pgAdmin? Or should I install other tools?

Thank you for your help,

Hi @mekong,

You can get some data regarding CPU and memory usage by running the commands described in this page of our documentation.
Insufficient CPU or memory may mean that you need to migrate your server to a bigger instance size. You can find the specs of each VM type regarding networking and disk throughput in this link.

Also, please note that we offer a PostgreSQL Multi-Tier template for high-performance scenarios. You can find it here.

Thank you for your answer, I will try this out.
