Keywords: WordPress - OS X - Technical issue - OtherDescription: I have installed Bitnami WordPress using the macOS installer. However, the disk is only 15GB in size, and I have run out of space. Is there a way to increase the size of the disk?
I used the bnsupport tool, but automatic upload failed, and I am unable to upload the file manually, because I am a new user.
this other community post will probably help you to resize the disk of the VM

This seems like the correct solution; however, when I try to resize the image, I get this error:
qemu-img: Could not open '/Users/localadmin/.bitnami/stackman/machines/wordpress/vm/machine.qcow2': qcow2: Image is corrupt; cannot be opened read/write
Any idea why this might be happening?
I actually get this error the first time I run it:
qcow2: Marking image as corrupt: Preventing invalid write on metadata (overlaps with qcow2_header); further corruption events will be suppressedqemu-img: Failed to grow the L1 table: Input/output error
My original try, I was using
qemu-img resize <image> 100G
I just got it to work using
qemu-img resize <image> +50G
Any idea why this would make a difference?
Maybe you didn't have 100G free but you have 15GB + 50GB ??I guess your virtual machine was stopped when you run both commands no?
In any case I am glad you were able to find a workaround!
Yes. Machine was stopped. I re-installed several times and tried both commands and only the +50 works. Interestingly, if I then add another 45 to get to 100 or add 85 to start, it also gets corrupted. However, my mac says I have 800 GB free???
I think 65 should be enough for my purposes, so I'm going to consider this solved for now. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
