Keywords: WordPress + NGINX + SSL - AWS - How to - Other
I installed wordpress from AWS Marketplace on free tier2 micro of aws. Site, cctsrilanka.com, is up and running well. Because I wanted the site to be closer to China I located my instance in Singapore. However, I want to configure cloudfront on this instance, ideally without using additional plugins, S3 buckets, load balances and in most cost effective way, so the site will run across US, EU and Russia speedily.
My site only receives about 1000 clicks per month now. If it runs with full potentials I expect it will receive 2,000 clicks per month max. But I have a massive load of images and runs woocommerce , which make the site slower in general.
So, I tried to configure cloudfront and pointed it to the instance and created 4 Origins (wp-includes, wp-content, wp-admin & wp-login.php) and set up the behaviors as instructed here, https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/startups/how-to-accelerate-your-wordpress-site-with-amazon-cloudfront/. However, my couldfront domain name leads to 502 Error.
Actually I do not know if I can set up wordpress folders as Origins and configure couldfont this way. Because all the instructions available point to installing a plugin and do it or use a S3 bucket or load balancers.
Can you please assist me? I am not a code expert.
Nice day to you all!
