For others: on Bitnami, there doesn't seem to be an
app.yml file --- at least I never found one. Instead, there is the following file:
The format is not YAML, and after some digging I learned that the settings should exclude the DISCOURSE_ prefix. As such, the following worked:
max_reqs_per_ip_mode = none
max_admin_api_reqs_per_key_per_minute = 99999
max_reqs_per_ip_per_minute = 99999
max_reqs_per_ip_per_10_seconds = 99999
Perhaps the first of these was enough, not sure. My plan is to revert to the defaults after the import in completed.
That said, once the rate limits were removed, the server itself started wilting under the load, leading to "socket hang up" errors, having roughly the same effect as the rate limits. ::sigh:: It seems it may be time to admit defeat, abandon my nodeJS importer script ... and learn a bit of Ruby based on the existing import scripts.
