How to add mathjax plugin with the little button to ckeditor on Drupal 9 on AWS Lightsail?

I have started a lightsail instance of Drupal and installed themes and everything, seen that the modules are working properly.
What I am stuck on is now that I want to install mathjax on ckeditor. I am have installed the module but the little icon which is supposed to show up on the ckeditor toolbar does not shpw up.
I am connected to the instance using ssh but alas I am unable to find the config files or anything.
Any help is appreciated.
