We assume you are using Bitnami to deploy your application. Yes.
Which version of the application are you using?: Most recent - I just signed up a few days ago.
Please choose how you got the application: Installer (Windows, Linux, macOS), cloud image (AWS, GCE, Azure, ...) or VM (VMDK, VBOX): AWS cloud image.
Have you installed any plugin or modified any configuration file? No.
Describe here your question/suggestion/issue (expected and actual results): I need to access my Openfire database to install some custom tables that my plugin requires to operate correctly.
Steps to reproduce the issue (if relevant): Just need access to the AWS MySQL database.
Copy the apache log (if relevant):Just need to know how to access the Bitnami AWS MySQL database for Openfire so I can add some custom tables.
In order to access the MySQL database, you can use the root credentials of the database
Then you can use the Openfire database and start adding new tables there

Unfortunately, MySQL Workbench is not able to reach or connect to the same IP (18.232.XX.XX) address where my Openfire application is stored. Whenever I try to create the connection, I get the "Can't connect to MySQL server on 18.232.XXX.XXX) error.
@mbrad34, please note that we do not open the MySQL port in the firewall by default due to security concerns. In case you want to access MySQL using MySQL Workbench, you will need to configure MySQL to accept remote connections
Open the port in the instance
And configure MySQL Workbench
Just wanted to say thank you. It took me a little while to get everything configured the way I needed it, but you comments and the tutorials that you forwarded me too helped me tremendously!
Thanks and have a great weekend: )
I'm really glad to hear that and thank you for your kind words @mbrad34! Now it's time to enjoy the application.
I proceed to close this ticket as solved. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to open a new thread.
