Keywords: Ruby - Virtual Machines - How to - OtherDescription: I read bitnami doc for how to Access A Ruby Server Application by SSH and done all steps but not working for my browser in win 7
I don't fully understand the issue.
These instructions enable it so you can access your VM via SSHhttps://docs.bitnami.com/virtual-machine/faq/get-started/enable-ssh/
Maybe you want to access via HTTP, don't you? Our getting started page could help:https://docs.bitnami.com/virtual-machine/get-started-virtualbox/
If you continue facing issues, please provide us what more information about the steps you followed, the expected behavior and the issue found.
I need access localhost:3000 in my browser. I enable SSH Step in here this link https://docs.bitnami.com/virtual-machine/faq/get-started/enable-ssh/1
And step in doc of bitnami ruby use puTTY and write localhost:3000 in my browser but not working
In that case, you need to open port 3000 as this guide explains:https://docs.bitnami.com/virtual-machine/faq/administration/use-firewall/
sudo ufw allow 3000
You should be able to access http://VM-IP:3000. If you want to access using localhost, you should set an SSH tunnel.
ssh -N -L 3000:127.0.0.1:3000 bitnami@<VM-IP>
I hope it helps
