How import a virtual machine (OVA) in Google Cloud?

Hi:
I have configured Redmine in a Bitnami virtual machine using Virtual Box. I have generated an image (OVA), and I tried to import it in Google Cloud. But I cant´t do that because this Bitnami Virtual Machine have Debian 10.

¿How I can resolve this problem? ¿There anothet way to do that?

Thanks for using Bitnami. Can you give us more information about the issue you are having importing your OVA with Debian 10? I'm linking the official docs on this for further reference in the future

I think another option here is to launch a Bitnami Redmine image on Google Cloud and replicate your local configuration (or migrate it if possible) into that new machine. Would that work for you?

Hi @gongomgra,
Yes, we use just the first reference you send me. The problem is --os flag don´t include debian-10. It includes only debian-8 and debian-9.
We think many people using Bitnami Redmine stack, have the same problem, because this stack uses Debian 10.

Sure, we can install a Debian 10 images and replicate all configuration from scracht... but this is very painful.

Then, it is what I want to know... how to migrate from an OVA image to a Debian virtual machine in Google Cloud?

Thanks for the detailed information. If Google Cloud can't migrate Debian 10 OVAs, then I think the best option is to launch a fresh new Bitnami Redmine instance in Google Cloud, and migrate your Redmine information (uploaded files and plugins) to the new machine. You can get more information on how to migrate the Redmine information by checking the next guide

If you have done any other customization to the Redmine code, Apache, or the server instance (like installing additional system packages or configurations), you will need to manually do it in the new instance as well.

We was hurry, then yesterday we created a fresh new bitnami Redmine instance in Google Cloud and customized it manually right from the start.

The reference you send me can be useful in possible future migrations.
