You can substitute the values of host and port in the
installdir/apps/gitlab/htdocs/config/gitlab.yml file like in the following example:
# 1. GitLab app settings
## GitLab settings
## Web server settings (note: host is the FQDN, do not include http://)
port: 80 # Set to 443 if using HTTPS, see installation.md#using-https for additional HTTPS configuration details
Then, restart GitLab:
sudo installdir/ctlscript.sh restart
And the the following URL will be displayed:
This change only affects to the URL displayed, there is no need to change the ports at the reverse proxy.
We checked this configuration and it works, but if it doesn't work for you, you will always be able to return to the previous configuration.
gitlab.rb file, it is not included in the current version that we have. AFAIK, this file is provided when you use the Omnibus package installation method.
