thank you for your help i really appreciated all of it.
I am unable to login to admin panel as i am on developer mode. i have to change it to default mode but the env.php (where i have to change to default is not working its giving me this:

Note i just flushed cache when i followed your instructions to upgrade .... and now all of a sudden its not working 2 minutes later
sudo /opt/bitnami/apps/magento/htdocs/bin/magento cache:clean
sudo /opt/bitnami/apps/magento/htdocs/bin/magento cache:flush
