I am running a simple client website with a lot of backups that are in tar.zip formats. I have the client asking me for backups weekly. Which are about 7 .zip files. They are around 5 GB in sizes. However, when I try to download multiple files it fails (This is because I don't want to be waiting for one to finish downloading over FTP and then start the next one and so on.
I have tried both SFTP and FTP and use a few clients including FileZilla, I also tried using cPanels file manage to get them straight but that crashes Chrome :(.
This is what FileZilla says:
Error: Connetion timed out
Error: Could not connect to server
With my own debugging and testing I checked the server's bandwidth and that is unlimited, I checked with support to see if it is not being throttled by any chance, they said its all unlimited. I followed various guides including this ftp guide, I have tried some chrome ftp downloading extensions as suggested including Chrono but same result, I cannot see anything out of the normal in Error logs or Access logs. I have checked all the FTP port/ip-address settings and they all look fine to me.
Can someone please point me in the right direction where to look, I would really appreciate it. Thank you
