Has /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/conf/nginx-app.conf moved?

Keywords: WordPress + NGINX + SSL - AWS - Technical issue - Other
Description:
I have used /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/conf/nginx-app.conf to temporarily restrict access to my site to my IP and other settings for a couple years now, but it seems to be gone or moved?

It’s a fresh server spun up like 20 minutes ago using Amazon/Bitnami EC2 with nginx for WordPress. On the slightly older server where my live site is I don’t have this issue.

Was there some change that I missed? Thanks.

Hi @rob83

Thanks for using Bitnami WordPress NGINX + SSL!

We are progressively migrating all of our applications to a new structure, and recently we upgraded the WordPress stack. As a result, the old /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs directory can now be found at /opt/bitnami/wordpress . You can find more information about the changes we are performing here:

https://docs.bitnami.com/general/faq/get-started/understand-upcoming-changes/

The file you mention contained the specific server_blocks used to host WordPress. Those files can now be found under the path: /opt/bitnami/nginx/conf/server_blocks

$ ls -la /opt/bitnami/nginx/conf/server_blocks
total 20
drwxrwxr-x 2 bitnami root 4096 May 24 04:30 .
drwxrwxr-x 4 bitnami root 4096 May 24 04:05 ..
-rw-rw-r-- 1 bitnami root  388 May 24 04:30 default-https-server-block.conf
-rw-rw-r-- 1 bitnami root 1226 May 27 08:30 wordpress-https-server-block.conf <-- ServerBlock for HTTPs connections
-rw-rw-r-- 1 bitnami root 1119 May 27 08:30 wordpress-server-block.conf <-- ServerBlock for regular HTTP connections
