Describe here your question/suggestion/issue (expected and actual results):
I am trying to use a custom theme. The documentation for the Bitnami edx install does not seem to be in sync with the Ficus version I have installed. There is a readme file in the themes directory of the edx-platform directory which has some instructions that do not seem to work. I also consulted the edx site documentation. That also does not seem to work. I tried to modify a number of different parameters in the /edx-ficus.3-0/apps/edx/conf/lms.env.json file as per the various documentations. My question is, starting from the steps below, what else do I need to do to activate the custom theme?
Steps to reproduce the issue (if relevant):
- Create a directory structure which mimics the edx lms structure (/home/administrator/my-themes/smc-theme/lms/.....).
- Place a logo.png file in the /smc-theme/lms/static/images/ directory. This image is a company specific logo.
- Configure the lms.env.json file in the /apps/edx/conf directory. Change the COMPREHENSIVE_THEME_DIRS to include /home/administrator/open-edx-themes/edx-platform/smc-theme ( as per the documentation in the edx/edx-platform/themes directory from the README.rst file of the install).
- Log into the Django console. Configure the default site (example.com) to have the theme smc-theme.
- Restart all components.
