I installed XAMPP, which was working fine, and I could use phpMyAdmin. Then I installed the Moodle module. After that I could not access phpMyAdmin - I got this error:
mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/1130): Host 'localhost' is not allowed to connect to this MariaDB server
It's not just phpMyAdmin. Moodle can't connect to the database either.
I've tried this more than five times now. It works until I stop and restart the server, or restart my machine for the first time after install. I've tried giving root a password, I've tried creating another database user, both with and without a password, I've tried every change to php.ini, my.ini, and config.inc.php that I can find recommended on forums. Same result every time - after installing Moodle, the database becomes inaccessible.
I've been able to install both the Wordpress and Drupal modules without getting this error, but as soon as I add Moodle as well, it reoccurs and they can't connect to the database either.
I'm using xampp-windows-x64-7.3.6-2-VC15-installer.exe and bitnami-moodle-3.7.0-3-module-windows-x64-installer.exe
I would love some advice.
