generate 404 from browser

Description:
I recently installed Prestashop on Google Cloud via https://console.cloud.google.com/marketplace/details/bitnami-launchpad/prestashop

I want to host a static file of a web gallery and I read everywhere that it should be uploaded to /opt/bitnami/apache2/htdocs/
However, when I enter the mypage.com/gallery/slideshow.html url from my browser, I get a 404 error page generated by Prestashop.

How can I fix this problem?

Hello @zlaczo,

It may be related to permissions. Could you please share with us the output of this command? It seems the support tool was not able to gather this infomation.

ls -larth /opt/bitnami/apache2/htdocs/

Thanks for getting back to me!

I also thought first it was related to permissions as I could not upload any files to the folder but then I changed the permissions and restarted the Apache server, and the upload worked.

Here is the output of the command:

Hello @zlaczo,

The issue is that Prestashop solution has been updated (Using System Packages). Prestashop file are under /opt/bitnami/prestashop/. There, they should have bitnami:daemon owner and group.

Thanks a lot for your answer!

I'm a bit confused and not sure about what to do.
Where should I upload my static web files that I'd like to serve from my-domain.com/gallery/ ?
It is not "/opt/bitnami/apache2/htdocs/" ?

Hello @zlaczo,

Yes. You can check the DocumentRoot in conf/vhosts/prestashop-vhost.conf and conf/vhosts/prestashop-https-vhost.conf.

 DocumentRoot /opt/bitnami/prestashop
