Description:
I’ve got a few errors with folders not writeable. Have tired changing permissions but no luck. One error in woocommerce / status is " To allow logging, make /opt/bitnami/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/wc-logs/ writable or define a custom WC_LOG_DIR." I have tried setting this folder to 640, 660 and 775. The other error is wpconfig.php not writeable when I install WPRocket. Any suggestions? Thank you

This post explains how to recover the permissions configuration.

You can give write permissions to the daemon group temporarily

sudo chmod 660 /bitnami/wordpress/wp-config.php

Happy to help!

Hi, thank you.

I am still getting write issues after trying above steps.

woocommerce / status is " To allow logging, make /opt/bitnami/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/wc-logs/
writable or define a custom WC_LOG_DIR."

and

WP Rocket could not modify the .htaccess file due to missing writing permissions.

I have the permissions as 644 for htaccess file

I have been “cloning” the Wordpress site from another server using managewp plugin.

Any help would be appreciated as this is proving very difficult.

Thank you

Hi, Is it possible the “owner” is not correct? I havn’t changed anything but wondering if that may be issue when site is cloned?

Hi @dan7,

I think the problem is not related to the permissions configuration but the plugin that does not follow the symlinks correctly. Please take a look at this post

After moving the folder, you can reset the permissions again if necessary.
