I also tried the code below.

cd /tmp
curl -LJO “https://downloads.bitnami.com/files/hyperkit/hyperkit-testing-20210430
mv /tmp/hyperkit-testing-20210430 ~/.bitnami/stackman/helpers/hyperkit
chmod +x ~/.bitnami/stackman/helpers/hyperkit

But it returned error message " The hypervisor helper seems to be incorrectly setup. To fix it, we will require Administrator privileges."

I don’t know how to fix it.
Thanks for your help.

Hi @hfh2018,

Did you update to BigSur recently? If that’s the case, you will need to follow the steps to update the hyperkit binary as explained here:

Please ensure the md5 of the file is the same one I posted in the message.

When do you get that message? Can you post a screenshot?

After running the above code and re-start the virtual machine, it will show the warning message below.

I tried another way. After running
chmod +x ~/.bitnami/stackman/helpers/hyperkit
I did not close VM.
After re-start, it also return error message but fd number changed.

Hi @hfh2018,

I just followed the process to update the hyperkit binary and got the same warning message about the “Administrator privileges”. However, once I enter my user’s password, I can open the VM without problems. Did you enter your system’s password after receiving the warning?

Another option to solve this problem would be this one:

  • If you do not have anything inside that Django VM, you can remove the ~/.bitnami folder to start everything from scratch
rm -rf ~/.bitnami
  • Download the Django OS X VM again and launch it

https://bitnami.com/stack/django/installer

Can you access the VM now?

Thanks for your help.
I finally find the solution.
The problem may be the DHCP setting of the network company.
I remove the LAN and restart VM.
It works.
“Off-line” may be the answer of unsolvable problem. :grinning:

Thanks for your kindness
