I have tried restarting all services on my wordpress site but I noticed that MySQL will not start. Please I need urgent help on this.

I am tried increasing the size of my VM disc on Azure to solve this problem and now, I can't find my WordPress installation. All files vanished.

I am sorry to hear that!

Did you by any chance have a backup of your files? If you do, you should be able to recover everything:

I don't have a backup but I see that the old disc is still there and it contains the WordPress installation. I am a novice who is learning on the job.

In that case, you should be able to restore your instance to the previous state by reattaching the disk . Unfortunately, we do not have a guide that covers this specific task, but you may reach out to Azure or their official documentation in order to do so.

Hi @pakudike

I was able to check that MySQL is successfully running now. Regarding the old disk, I reckon you can download the contents of a VHD to your machine and access the files there (this could also be an option, instead of reattaching). In any case, you may reach out to Azure or their official documentation in order to do so.
