Keywords: WordPress - AWS - Technical issue - Permissions
I had troubles uploading images on WordPress (lightsail on aws) and followed the guidelines on setting permissions as I thought that was the problem.
These were the commands:
sudo chown -R bitnami:daemon /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content
sudo chmod -R g+w /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content
sudo chmod 640 /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-config.php
It didn't work so tried other similar ones on other threads. When I restarted Apache my mysql didn't start and there was error in connection with the database.
sudo chmod -R 777 /opt/bitnami/ so I got at least get to my files and migrate to a new instance but that made everything worst. Now nothing runs after trying to stop and start.
Thanks in advance!
PS: I could not run the support tool. Gave error:
Unable to initialize installer.
Is /tmp writable ?
Is SELinux enabled? You may need to disable it temporarily
