Error AH00526 with Bitnami HTTPS Configuration Tool

Hello!

We have an AWS LightSail Wordpress instance. After months of manually renewing Let’s Encrypt SSL certifications with this tutorial, we decided to follow the Bitnami how-to to obtain the SSL certificates automatically for future renewals.

Before starting the Bitnami tutorial, we deleted our existing certificates with certbot delete

Then, we began the Bitnami tutorial with sudo /opt/bitnami/bncert-tool

Unfortunately, we receive the following error:

Bitnami installation directory [/opt]: /opt/bitnami

Warning: The web server configuration check failed. Please fix the configuration 
error: 
AH00526: Syntax error on line 46 of 
/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/bitnami/bitnami.conf:
SSLCertificateFile: file '/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.crt' does not exist 
or is empty

Any ideas how to fix this problem so we can proceed with the tutorial?

Thanks for using Bitnami! It seem you don’t have dummy certificates bundled with the stack.
Could you please check this post of the community?

Hi @keepmovingforward, The problem is that the dummy certificates bundled with the stack are missing. Maybe you have moved to a different folder, rename or delete them. You can try re-generating it with the following commands and then continue following the guide. Generate a new private key: sudo openssl genrsa -out /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.key 2048 Create a certificate: sudo openssl req -new -key /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.key -out /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/cert.csr NO…

Thanks for the response. After entering the first command from your linked post:

sudo openssl genrsa -out /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.key 2048

We receive the following:

/opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/server.key: No such file or directory

Can you help us resolve this so we can continue creating a dummy certificate?

It looks like we were able to run bn-cert-tool successfully. This is how we did it:

We followed the AWS cert tutorial to manually recertify SSL.

Then, we followed these insturctions to re-generate the dummy certificates.

Finally, we ran the bncert-tool via this tutorial. We simply ran:

sudo /opt/bitnami/bncert-tool

It ran successfully. Thanks for your help! We ran sudo /opt/bitnami/bnsupport-tool again after obtaining the new SSL certificate. The automatic upload to Bitnami servers failed again. If you’d like to check it please let me know how to message you privately!
