the applications in https://bitnami.com/stacks/email are like personal Mail Inbox so they are not , and they will not allow you to send mails through your Mail Provider.
I would recommend you to start here: https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/topics/email/ (the official Django Project documentation) where it explains how to add the needed code to send mails.
Keep in mind, that mostly always it will try to use internal commands to send the mails (sendmail, mail...), but for what you need, I think that you want to connect to an SMTP server and send mails through it, so keep it in mind while yo are reading the official documentation.
Said that, I recommend you to use an external email provider (like gmail, or mandrill), so you only will need to configure. If you will use a Gmail account (@gmail or with your own domain), you could use this example to send mails through it: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19264907/python-django-gmail-smtp-setup
