I have since discovered a couple more issues related to emails.
1) No matter what you enter under the Advanced tab when creating email i.e. From name: and From address: Mautic ignores these entries and always uses the Default settings under Configuration Email Settings. Mautic, however, does recognize the Reply to address:
I want to use this one instance of Mautic for 3 sites and I want the emails to be seen to be coming from respective domains and not the domain hosting the Mautic instance. So right now, this is not happening. I have all 3 domains verified in SparkPost and it still makes no difference. Is Mautic designed to be useable for multiple domains or just one domain? I mean, should I be having separate instances of Mautic for each of my domains?
2) However, if sending email to a Contact via the Contact > Send Email, Mautic DOES recognise the From name: and From address:
3) Emails sent to User - when a new contact subscribe, I send an email to myself (User) - email arrives - I open it. But Email Stats does not register this. Always remains at zero for Sent and Read. Emails Sent and Read are ok for emails sent to the Contact.
4) Broadcast email to Segment - not working at all. My test Segment had 2 Contacts. When I send an email, it said 2 emails sent and no failures. But no emails were sent - both contacts did not receive the email. Email Stats shown totally do not match. This is quite disappointing - UPDATE: I decided to stick with just ONE domain and retested - and I am happy to say that it works - email templates have some issues but that can be fixed I'm sure but at least both Contacts are now receiving emails. Email Stats: Sent is correct. Read is incorrect - always zero.
Still testing and will update again if anything else crops up. If email does not work properly it is difficult to move forward so I really want to make sure all aspects are working before I really get into creating more complex campaigns etc.
