Yes, you are right. We enabled PHP-FPM in our VMs and cloud images as we assume that the local installers are meant for development. In case you want to enable and configure PHP-FPM when using the installer, you can use this option when running the installer
./bitnami-lampstack-version-linux-x64-installer.run --enable_phpfpm 1
In the VMs, we configure the paths and other env vars because that's a Bitnami environment and we won't modify the user's environment. In case of the installers, we do not perform any change in the system so you need to load the Bitnami Environment by following this guide
