Please note that IMAP doesn't send mails, that is left for SMTP or other protocols.
After adding your account (if it is not added, remove it and start again), could you check if this happens?:
- We added the mail account, and SugarCRM started downloading mails.
That is, right after clicking "Save" [account], we would see a progress message where SugarCRM would download all of the current e-mails in my account. Could you try this?
If this does still not work, instead, you could try to do this:
- Create a Gmail e-mail account, or get access to one.
- Connect SugarCRM with it. It should work, since we got to connect Gmail successfully. That is, you should be able to download all mails from the account.
- If you are OK with this configuration, and after successful, configure your other mail (
test1@...) to re-send any received e-mail to the Gmail account.
If you don't like this configuration, at least it will help you to test that SugarCRM is not the issue, but maybe your e-mail configuration.
I hope it works!
