Keywords: Discourse - AWS - How to - Permissions
Right now, I'm running the Discourse VM through Bitnami Launchpad. This will work for now as I am using this as a dev environment as we evaluate Discourse features. I noticed that I needed to provide my key and secret (letting it run as root essentially) which works fine for now, but I would like to start running the discourse image myself on my own AWS linux EC2 instances. I would like to run them using a IAM role, for security purposes.
Is there a place where I can find a list of policies needed for this?
I really appreciate your help, and I can't imagine I'm the first person to ask. I do see the cloud instructions here, but no IAM details are provided:
which I think is a strange oversight.
Thank you for your help!
