I have recently created a new server. The server is up and running and I can access it via shell. When creating the server, I selected to install also an apache-tomcat server.
Via shell, when I execute the command ps -ef I can see that the tomcat it's up and running:
<code>root 829 1 0 17:22 ? 00:00:02 /opt/bitnami/java/bin/java -Djava.util.logging.config.file=/opt/bitnami/apache-tomcat/conf/logging.properties
My question is how to access (via web) my tomcat server (the apps running in my tomcat server). The tomcat default port is 8080, as I can see int the server.xml file:
<code><Connector port="8080" URIEncoding="UTF-8" protocol="HTTP/1.1"
So, the server is running and answering in the port 8080. But I'm trying to access typing http://mydomain.bitnamiapp.com:8080 or http://mydomain.bitnamiapp.com:8080/index.html (as there is a index.html file in de webapps/ROOT directory), but I get a "Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET)" error.
The firewall status is inactive, but just in case, I have allowed acces to the 8080 port with "sudo ufw allow 8080".
I'm at lose here. Don't really know what I'm doing wrong!!!
