It worked when I followed the example. However, the user created in the example is an alias to bitnami. When I created a new user, independent of bitnami user, using the same exact steps to generate ssh keys, placing pub key in the new user's authorized_keys file and using the private key in Putty client, I get the error "Server refused our key" when connecting from Putty with the new user's username. Is there something tied to the bitnami user that does the magic? We need to create a user with less privilege than bitnami to give to someone.
Thanks so much for your insight. I have been at this all day.
