In an attempt to build my server again and following my script I wanted to activate Varnish
I followed the indications using approach B
In the "Customize Varnish" section we download wordpress.vcl file modify it for port 81.
Copy the file to /opt/bitnami/varnish/etc/varnish/
to point to it
All is good
Then at "Modify The Default Varnish™ And NGINX Ports"
We edit /opt/bitnami/varnish/scripts/ctl.sh to point back at default.vcl instead of wordpress.vcl that seemed so important to have.
The initial file wordpress.vcl that was downloaded is not used anymore!
Then at "Block Specified URLs From Being Cached By Varnish™"
It states to add lines that already at the bottom of default.vcl !!!
I'm confused I just ended up modifying default.vcl and downloading wordpress.vcl and playing with it for nothing.
And then in:
At the top of guide you link back to https://docs.bitnami.com/bch/apps/wordpress-pro//administration/configure-use-varnish/
After the whole wordpress.vcl thing starts all over again and seems to be done right.
WHAT IS THE RIGHT WAY OF DOING THIS?
