I don't know the root password to my company's mysql installation for our company website on wordpress because I'm not the one who set it up, and I need to log in to mysql as root to purge the binlog files. I followed the instructions on this page
https://docs.bitnami.com/azure/apps/processmakerenterprise/administration/change-reset-password/ but it didn't work. This is the output I got when I restarted mysql using mysqld_safe:
root@ip:/opt/bitnami# 2019-06-29T02:25:48.702308Z mysqld_safe Logging to '/opt/bitnami/mysql/data/ip-172-31-18-137.err'.
2019-06-29T02:25:48.721376Z mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /opt/bitnami/mysql/data
2019-06-29T02:25:50.818868Z mysqld_safe mysqld from pid file /opt/bitnami/mysql/data/mysqld.pid ended
- Done /opt/bitnami/mysql/bin/mysqld_safe --pid-file=/opt/bitnami/mysql/data/mysqld.pid --datadir=/opt/bitnami/mysql/data --init-file=/home/bitnami/mysql-init 2> /dev/null
And when I tried to log in with the new password after restarting mysql access was denied.
