Hello, I am new to the forum.
I just launched a micro instance in aws with bitnami lamp.
Install wordpress and it works perfectly. but I want the wordpress to be in the main directory that is to say http://WORDPRESSHERE.COM
since the installation was done at http://myweb.com/wordpress and here I do not need it
Thanks for using Bitnami. If the main reason to start the instance is to use wordpress, I would recommend using the wordpress cloud image as it is prepared to serve the site from the root of the domain and includes additional tools.
The wordpress you have installed over lamp, has been installed using a Bitnami installer?
thank you for your answer, I commented, the installation of wordpress made from the ssh with the modules offered by bitnami .... the reason why use lamp, is because install whmcs., and add ioncube to work at 100
thank you very much
You can also move your WordPress installation to the root path using the bnconfig tool.
sudo ./bnconfig --appurl /
Take into account that this command only works one time to move the application from /wordpress to /.
I hope it helps,Tomas
Than you very much for you response
I'm new, I do not have much knowledge in bitnami
I have a question which is --appurl /
thank you for you time
With --appurl / you specicify that the path of wordpress should root (/), which means it's shown right when you request your domain name.
