I have running My MEAN stack app in my default port 3000 But unable to connect with port number 80
let me know how to config?

Hi @sfinsyst,

Thanks for using Bitnami. The recommended way to access you application through the port number 80 is to configure apache (the service which is listening in that port) to serve the node.js application running in the port 3000.

I have app my app with my custom port 3000 is running great but i have config for production setting please let me know is it correct or not as follows

prod_db:'mongodb://username:password@localhost:27017/sFins',

when run app with NODE_ENV=production PORT=80 node server.js
and running server at 80 successfully
But when i open browser with http:// [IP ADDRESS] It show Your connection is not private

Hi @sfinsyst,

As explained in previous posts, the Bitnami MEAN stack by default includes Apache as the way to serve your applications in port 80. If you are running node directly in port 80, please check the Apache is not running (see here).

After that, there can be several reasons for the Your connection is not private message, so let's try at first to check if the correct app is running. Can you please try using a different browser?.

Also for better reference please provide information about the exact Bitnami stack you are using (installer, virtual machine,. ..), operating system, etc.

I checked Apache is running i have try open different browser but same error

Once add the below
Include "/opt/bitnami/apps/myapp/conf/httpd-prefix.conf"

at /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/bitnami/bitnami-apps-prefix.conf,

it shows error like this when restart apache

Hi @sfinsyst,

You should use just one of both methods. Either use Apache to proxy to your app (in which case your app continues to run in port 3000 and Apache in port 80) or run express directly in port 80.

Given that the recommended option is the first one, let's focus on that: the error you are getting is that the file /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/bitnami/bitnami-apps-prefix.conf does not exist. Can you check it really exists and provide the content?

Generate And Install A Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate For A Bitnami Application: for creating a SSL certificate using Let's Encrypt, suitable for production use (you will need a domain name). This documentation is for Linux.

The last to topics apply if you don't have a suitable certificate yet.
