I have been battling emails with OSClass for a while.
I am using the OSClass image provided through the AWS EC2 marketplace. Everything is going well except for emails.
The problem appears to be in the mail settings in OSClass admin, where a warning shows, which says "Apache Module mod_ssl is not loaded."
I've tried everything on forums here and elsewhere to try to solve the problem. In httpd.conf, the following line is present: "LoadModule ssl_module modules/mod_ssl.so" It is uncommented, so I assume it should be working. I've tried running the command "a2enmod ssl," but I get an error saying a2enmod is not installed.
Strangely, I have no problem serving my site over SSL. I have certificates installed on the server, and my OSClass instance is being served perfectly with a custom domain over SSL.
I've tried gmail mail settings, Mailgun mail settings and localhost settings. Nothing works. It would be nice if localhost email would work.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
EDIT: I also disabled PHP-FPM as noted here: https://community.bitnami.com/t/apache-module-mod-ssl-is-not-loaded/47619/3
The mod_ssl warning went away, but I still can't send emails.
