Hi @easybitnami, we have identified the problem.
The plugin APDQC is not fully compatible with MySQL 5.7.5+ when using HTTPS, it is external to Bitnami, but fortunately there is an easy fix for this.
Open the file
/opt/bitnami/apps/openatrium/htdocs/sites/all/modules/apdqc/apdqc.session.inc, go to lines 110 and 141, replace the following text:
GROUP BY s.ssid
GROUP BY s.ssid, s.sid, u.uid
Once replaced, restart PHP-FPM and Apache and you should be good to go:
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh restart php-fpm
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh restart apache
I hope it works for you!
If you want to know why this happened, the reason can be seen in the error below, which appears after some debugging from our side:
Expression #2 of SELECT list is not in GROUP BY clause and contains nonaggregated column 'bitnami_openatrium.u.uid' which is not functionally dependent on columns in GROUP BY clause; this is incompatible with sql_mode=only_full_group_by
It refers to the query checking for the user session in the MySQL sessions table.
