I have XAMPP installed on a Windows 10 machine, and am running WordPress locally. I downloaded Moodle from the Bitnami website, to run along with WordPress, and I followed the installation instructions - including starting Apache and MySQL first, and setting up a Moodle-specific database, which I did.
The next step is to unzip the downloaded Moodle package into the C:\XAMPP\htdocs directory, which I attempted to do - but got the following error message:
"That folder does not seem to contain a valid installation of Bitnami, the properties.ini file is missing. Please specify a valid Bitnami directory or download the Bitnami platform from Bitnami.com"
However, properties.ini is installed in C:\Xampp\ - which is where it should be, as I understand it.
The contents of the properties.ini file are as follows:
mysql_arguments=-u root -P 3306
... and the port numbers correspond to the current ports for both Apache and MySQL.
Any assistance you can provide is much appreciated - thanks.
PS- Please note: the only line I removed from the properties.ini file shown above was base_email=, which contained my email address - which is present in the file as installed on my system.
